Talking point: Two Small Fish’s third fund is already its largest by far. Launched by the Laus—Allen is best known for co-founding Wattpad—the firm began as an angel investing group in 2014 and raised $12 million for its second fund in 2019. It’s made 40 investments, several of which have paid off through exits, including SkipTheDishes’ $110-million acquisition by Just Eat and Shopify’s takeover of portfolio firm Helpful. Founder and managing partner Eva Lau said in a press release that the firm plans to make 20 investments through its latest fund.
