Talking point: According to the lawsuit, Musk is taking the company and his co-founders to court to compel them to return the company to its original mission. In January, the Financial Times reported Musk was in talks to raise up to US$6 billion to turn his own startup, xAI, into a challenger to OpenAI and its flagship product ChatGPT. Musk has strong, long-standing opinions about how to safely develop AI. Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal reported the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating Altman’s internal communications at OpenAI.
