Talking point: Prosecutors said she and Sunny Balwani, Theranos’s former president and Holmes’s ex-boyfriend who will face a separate trial, discussed intervening with the reporter’s blood test. Holmes testified she was worried the WSJ would reveal trade secrets and that she appealed to the publication’s owner, Rupert Murdoch, in an effort to stop its reporting. Holmes, whose testimony started on Nov. 19, is expected to also face questions about her lavish lifestyle, which the prosecution intends to position as a motive for fraud. The defence wrapped up their questioning of Holmes Monday with allegations that Balwani was physically and emotionally abusive.
