This latest raise brings the Montreal-based company’s total Series E financing to US$35 million. W Investments Group, also based in Montreal, led the second investment, with guidance from Vancouver’s Yaletown Partners, which led GoSecure’s July raise. (The Logic)
Talking point: GoSecure operates in the managed detection and response (MDR) sector, providing urgent, real-time, targeted responses to cybersecurity threats that businesses face. The company claims that MDR is one of the “fastest-growing” cybersecurity markets, citing analysts’ projections that more than 50 per cent of mid-market businesses will adopt MDR over the next five years. The firm said in July that it had plans to use the Series E funding to expand its Canadian presence, adding cybersecurity experts and scaling research, operations and sales divisions. It currently has 200 employees in Montreal and San Diego.
