Talking point: Kraken uses machine learning to help customers access cheaper and more sustainable power along the supply chain. It’s the second time in recent months that CPP Investments has bought into the firm, after contributing US$300-million late last year to support its global expansion. CPP is one of the latest institutional investors in Canada that’s pledged to bring its carbon emissions to zero by mid-century. The plan includes increasing its investments in “green and transition assets” from $67 billion early this year to at least $130 billion by 2030.
