Talking point: The mobility startup Coord, another Sidewalk spinoff, raised US$5 million in October 2018. A third, Intersection, a startup that provides digital advertising and information kiosks in London and New York, raised US$150 million in 2017 to kick off its global expansion. The three companies have worked closely together on projects in the past. In June 2018, The Logic reported that Cityblock, Coord and Intersection had all registered to lobby the City of Toronto after Mayor John Tory visited Sidewalk Labs’ New York offices in November 2017.
