Talking point: Founded in 2013, Enteractive develops interactive products for the gaming, gambling and entertainment industries. The deal, which is still subject to regulatory and shareholder approval, is expected to happen in the fourth quarter of this year. After a bumper year for SPACs in 2021, the go-public vehicle suffered the same fate as IPOs, with activity slowing dramatically amid the economic downturn. SPACs made the lowest proceeds in the third quarter since the third quarter of 2016, according to professional-services firm Ernst & Young. There were 17 deals that raised US$900 million and a record number of SPACs continue to seek targets before potentially running out of time next year.
