    Billionaires back Canadian company to build first ‘negative emissions’ plant

    The Squamish, B.C.-based Carbon Engineering has raised US$68 million in private funding from Thomvest Asset Management and Silicon Valley venture capital funds First Round Capital and Lowercase Capital, among others. The company has been operating a pilot plant in B.C. since 2015 and plans to build its first full facility with the money. (Financial Post)
