Battle for connected home seizes the stage at CES 2019


Google faced off with Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week with its show “Google Assistant—The Ride.” The tech company constructed a small-scale version of Disneyland in a car park, complete with animatronic characters and dioramas, to show how features of Google technology—such as reminders, navigation and translation—can help improve consumers’ lives. (Financial Times)
