Swiftmerge Acquisition Corporation will price 20 million units at US$10 each and expects to pursue a “disruptive” company “utilizing technology and the internet to evolve the way that consumers interact with the market.” (The Logic)
Talking point: The company’s management team includes board chair George Jones, co-founder of Vancouver-based Ivest and former CEO of several companies including Borders and Saks Department Store Group. The SPAC’s sponsor is an Ivest affiliate. A consumer-focused private equity group, Ivest was founded in 2013 and focuses on consumer products, retail licensing and business services. John Bremner, also an Ivest co-founder, leads the SPAC’s management team and has led Ivest equity deals in a number of innovative consumer companies. The SPAC’s board of advisors includes Hootsuite co-founder Dario Meli, as well as Greg Isenberg, co-founder and CEO of the agency Late Checkout.
