Talking point: The filing confirms earlier reports that one of Calgary’s most prominent tech firms was headed toward insolvency. Notices of intent are the first stage in bankruptcy proceedings, giving the company time to restructure its finances or sell assets. Attabotics has not publicly spoken about its potential closure, but CEO Scott Gravelle’s LinkedIn page now describes him as a “recovering visionary” who is “taking a long deserved break.” The company’s warehouse technology uses robots and AI to sort and distribute products from shelves.
