Talking point: CEO Ryan Gallagher co-founded Scribenote in 2019 with his sister Katie—a veterinarian herself—to help mitigate burnout among vets, whom they say often work overtime on medical record-keeping. The technology records client conversations, and then uses AI to automatically generate medical records. The company—which previously raised $250,000 in pre-seed funding—said it’s automated more than 1.5 million medical records in less than a year. Funding from Andreessen Horowitz, a major global venture capital investor, is a strong vote of confidence. The round will help Scribenote improve its technology to the point where it can edit and finalize records.
