Julian Teixeira announced his departure on LinkedIn Friday, after five years at the password management company. The move comes a week after the Toronto company’s chief technology officer, Pedro Canahuati, stepped down, and two months after Jeff Shiner left the CEO role, moving into the board’s executive chair position. Talking point: Neither Teixeira nor Canahuati said why they’re leaving the company, and neither of them have positions lined up elsewhere. Shiner had been sharing the chief executive position with current CEO David Faugno since last November, and the company said his departure was a planned transition and “natural progression” as the firm scales. The leadership changes come as 1Password plans to go public, though not before next year, Shiner told The Globe and Mail in March.
