The St. John’s-based startup said it has reached a “multi‑year, multimillion‑dollar agreement” to sell its technology to the aerospace firm for use in “the design and manufacturing processes of its business jets.” Both CoLab and Bombardier declined to disclose specific deal terms. (The Logic)

Talking point: Founded in 2017, CoLab makes AI-powered software that engineers can use to review product designs, spot errors and track changes. It also layers in in-house knowledge from clients’ other software systems, using AI agents to bring in relevant information from past projects. At Bombardier, “technical staff from product development, engineering, and manufacturing operations” are already using the tools, said CoLab CMO MJ Smith. The startup currently has over 200 employees, and in November announced it had raised US$72 million in a round led by Intrepid Growth Partners. CoLab told The Globe and Mail it’s targeting over US$100 million in annualized revenue in 2027.
