Talking point: Arctic Wolf most recently raised US$150 million in July 2021, claiming a US$4.3-billion valuation; later last year, it disclosed IPO plans. The company’s software analyzes the data of clients in sectors like government and financial services, as well as other intelligence, to alert them to digital threats and provide help on responses. It pairs an automated system with human support teams. While Arctic Wolf is run from the U.S. Midwest, it’s always had a major presence across the border. Canadian co-founder Kim Tremblay, who has since retired, established its Kitchener, Ont. hub. The company now has more than 2,000 employees, with over 400 in Canada, spokesperson Reagan McAfee told The Logic via email. Arctic Wolf will use the new capital for product development and expansion. It currently has 77 job postings in Canada on LinkedIn.
