Talking point: The deal gives the Vancouver-based crypto company a major partner, and represents an increased focus on events after building much of its business around NBA Top Shot NFTs and other sports-related products. Dapper has marketed Flow as a smoother alternative to other blockchain networks such as Ethereum. That pitch has drawn major brands, but critics say that quality comes at the expense of decentralization, which could affect its long-term viability. Ticketmaster used Flow earlier this year to issue digital collectibles to 70,000 Super Bowl attendees. Event organizers will be able to use the NFT tickets to offer holders special perks like loyalty rewards or digital memorabilia, the company said.
