The province’s only cannabis distributor has not yet resumed full-scale shipments from its warehouses following a cyberattack on Domain Logistics, one of its main suppliers. It first disclosed the attack on Monday. The Crown corporation is currently accepting deliveries “manually,” which it will add to Domain’s system after an investigation is complete. (The Logic)
Talking point: The shutdown has put pressure on third-party weed distributors in the province, who say that their shelves will quickly run bare if the halt on deliveries continues. OCS says it has no reason to believe its customers’ data was stolen, or that its own systems were targeted in the Aug. 5 attack. In a brief statement, Domain’s parent company, Legacy Supply Chain, said it had detected “unusual activities” on its systems, but declined to explicitly state that it had been the victim of a cyberattack. It said Legacy does not have access to personal financial information or credit card information.
