Talking point: Article’s IPO is likely to be a secondary offering with the company issuing little or no equity, according to the sources, who said the company is profitable and doesn’t need to raise cash. The company, which in 2019 shifted its business model to bring manufacturing and shipping in house, declined to comment. Cymax Group, another B.C.-based furniture e-commerce firm, also explored going public, with director Andrew Lugsdin saying last year that the decision depended on several factors, including post-U.S.-election consumer confidence.
