Talking point: Coveo, which makes AI search and customer-service tools for businesses, priced at the high end of its proposed $13 to $15 range. Canadian tech companies have gone public to mixed reception this year, with Q4 and D2L trimming their offerings while Copperleaf surged in its debut. The underwriters’ consortium—led by BMO Capital Markets, BofA Securities, RBC Capital Markets and UBS Investment Bank—has the option to sell another 2.15 million shares. Outside the tech sector, Waterloo, Ont.-based Definity Financial also listed Thursday, raising $1.4 billion in the country’s largest IPO so far this year. The insurance company also brought in $700 million in a private placement of shares.
