Vancouver-headquartered venture capital firm VersionOne said in a release Thursday that it had invested in the Edmonton-based startup. Talking point: NiaHealth currently operates in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba, with plans to expand across Canada by the end of the year, Dhar said. The startup partners with test clinics to offer over 50 proactive lab tests. After testing, it identifies key health risks in a simple patient dashboard, and provides a letter for follow-up care from primary care providers in the public system. “Longevity kind of has become the hot new thing,” Dhar said. “We’re super focused on delivering evidence-based prevention.”
