The Logic is now accepting applications for a corporate subscription manager to join its growing team.

We are an independent, made-in-Canada digital-media company founded in 2018 with the belief that Canadians will pay for great journalism. Combining exclusive news, in-depth reporting, insightful analysis and smart curation, we confront the critical questions that shape this country’s economic future. We are headquartered in Toronto, with bureaus in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.

We’re looking for a creative self-starter to manage corporate and institutional relationships at The Logic. The corporate subscription manager is responsible for prospect research, outreach and related client management for all B2B sales. They work directly with senior leadership and the partnerships team to accelerate revenue growth and bring new clients to The Logic’s subscription-based journalism offering.

This is a full-time, Toronto-based hybrid position reporting to the chief operating officer that includes a competitive salary, participation in a bonus program, equity options, paid vacation and a comprehensive benefits plan including parental-leave top-up, dental, HSA and more. The start date is late November.

What you’ll do:

  • Full-cycle B2B sales: Support The Logic on all aspects of the corporate subscriptions sales cycle. Discover, build and maintain strong relationships in the corporate market and convey the value and benefits of a Logic subscription. Track the status of business and partnership development initiatives, activities and outcomes, helping to build out reports and effectively maintain a CRM database.
  • Onboarding and Account Management: Help in managing the overall onboarding and account management process for new and existing B2B clients, including invoicing, renewals and client management. Contribute to the strategic development of enhanced retention and stewardship processes for corporate clients and partners, leading to excellent client retention.
  • Create relationships with clients/partners: Work to grow existing relationships as well as foster new ones within the industry leading to an increase in B2B revenue.

Who you are:

  • You’re an exceptionally organized self-starter with 3+ years of experience in sales, fundraising, development or stewardship
  • You have existing contacts within the tech, finance, professional services and other business sectors in Canada and beyond
  • You have a high comfort level with tech stacks, CRM databases, and communications platforms
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven presentation skills. This includes the ability to speak effectively with all levels of management.
  • You exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in carrying out your responsibilities
  • You’re focused with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
  • You have a willingness to take the initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
  • You have a growth mindset and thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • You have a passion for journalism and the drive to be part of a growing startup
