Canadian businesswoman and entrepreneur Zita Cobb grew up on Fogo Island, the largest island offshore of Newfoundland and Labrador. After spending years as a tech executive, she’s been helping to revitalize her hometown and province through Shorefast, a registered Canadian charity, since 2004. In 2013, she opened the Fogo Island Inn, a world-renowned piece of architecture designed by Newfoundland-born and Norway-based architect Todd Saunders. In 2016, Cobb received the Order of Canada and was one of four inductees this year into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame.
She joined David Skok, The Logic’s CEO and editor-in-chief, for a conversation on what she’s learned about resilience and recovery, and the role of communities in the wake of a pandemic.
