Talking point: The trial will last six months to a year, and will connect the Rouge Hill Go station with a nearby neighbourhood. The City said it demonstrates a commitment from it and public-transit operators to learn how automated shuttles can be a part of the future of public transit. The Olli can seat up to eight people, and staff members will be aboard for every trip during the pilot. Most of its structure is 3D-printed and is printable in nine hours, according to the company. Its technology can be upgraded as the industry evolves. Local Motors already deployed Olli in various areas, including California and Belgium.
