Talking point: The facility will focus on cloud computing, advanced analytics, machine learning and AI. Tata Canada head Soumen Roy noted Montreal’s “wealth of talent, artificial intelligence research ecosystem and reputation as a digital innovation hub.” Tata Communications already has an office in Montreal, while Tata Steel harvests iron ore from its deposits near Schefferville.
