Talking point: The company says its technology addresses supply and sustainability issues to meet the demand for lithium as electric-vehicle and renewable-energy adoption rises. The round was co-led by Singapore-based Xora Innovation and U.S.-based Capricorn Investment Group’s Technology Impact Fund. CEO and founder Amanda Hall told Bloomberg that Nanotech plans to raise at least US$100 million in a Series B by early next year. It is also engaged in talks with three automakers. The company has raised US$17.37 million to date, according to PitchBook. The deal values it at US$36 million.
