Talking point: Fawn Friends, which makes generative AI stuffed animal robots for children, said it will use the funds to “add engineering and artistic talent” to its products. Founded by Canadian entrepreneurs Peter Fitzpatrick and Robyn Campbell, the company created the toys to be a source of support for children and to help them mature emotionally. The company is working on a film to create a whole world around Fawn, Fitzpatrick said in an interview, and is also focusing on older users.
