Talking point: The automaker, which owns brands including Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler, released preliminary financial results Monday after suspending financial guidance on April 30. It expects €74.3 billion in net revenue for the first half of the year, less than the €85-billion net revenue it made in the same period last year. In February, the company paused work on a plant in Brampton, Ont. to “reassess its product strategy in North America,” raising concerns for 2,200 autoworkers. Stellantis’s Canadian president Jeff Hines later told Industry Minister Mélanie Joly that Stellantis would protect “all jobs” in the country.
