Talking point: Pikar’s departure follows another high-profile executive move from OMERS, with chief investment officer Ralph Berg leaving this month to join Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Temasek. CEO Blake Hutcheson is now overseeing the investment team. The firm told The Logic it will announce details on the transition process following Pikar’s departure in the coming weeks. At Kensington, Pikar will lead the Toronto-based firm’s investment strategy and oversee its venture, growth equity and defence investing businesses.
