In a court filing Thursday, Celsius Network CEO Alex Mashinsky listed Chris Ferraro as the company’s chief financial officer, replacing former RBC executive Rod Bolger, who had held the role since February. (The Logic)
Talking point: Bolger appears to have left the role at a key moment for the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec-backed company. New Jersey-based Celsius filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday, just a month after suspending customer withdrawals. It is also the subject of a multistate investigation by U.S. regulators into its business practices, and has been accused of operating a Ponzi scheme by a former employee. On his LinkedIn profile, Bolger appears to have left Celsius in June; the reason for his departure wasn’t immediately apparent. Celsius didn’t respond to The Logic’s request for comment.
