The Toronto software company, which manages investor relations websites and earnings calls for more than 2,600 public companies, appointed San Francisco-based tech veteran Lewis Black as chief executive. Founder Darrell Heaps will become chairman and chief strategy officer, focused on mergers and acquisitions and artificial intelligence. (The Logic)
Talking point: The executive shakeup comes nearly two years after a Silicon Valley private equity firm, Sumeru Equity Partners, took Q4 off the public market in a $257-million deal. Black, an advisor at Sumeru since 2023, has worked at IT companies like SolarWinds and Citrix and will travel between the Bay Area and the Toronto headquarters frequently, the company said. Heaps said Black’s appointment will help Q4 scale up.
