Talking point: PocketHealth, which provides a platform for patients and doctors to share medical imaging records, plans to use the money to hire more staff, build new partnerships with clinics in the U.S. and Canada, and develop its product. Its services are used by more than 600,000 patients and 550 medical facilities in North America. The COVID-19 pandemic helped boost healthtech startups as clinics shifted much of their services online and patients formed new habits. In 2020, PocketHealth “saw a 300 per cent increase in business,” according to Aaron Brindle, a Radical partner.
