The company, which emerged from research at Dalhousie University under professor Jeff Dahn, began trading on the Nasdaq this week. After the last few years revealed a “significant” potential risk in the battery supply chain, CEO Chris Burns wrote in a letter announcing the stock’s debut that North America must take “the next step in reducing those risks” by building the supply chain of key materials locally, as well.
