Talking point: “Even while access to technology is expanding globally, still nearly half the world can’t access the internet in their own language,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said at an online event. “This is going to be especially important when people start teleporting across virtual worlds and experiencing things with people from different backgrounds.” Employees at Meta’s AI research centre in Montreal will be among those working toward the vision outlined in Zuckerberg’s comments, Meta communications manager Alex Kucharski told The Logic.
