The Canadarm maker expects to earn between $630 million and $650 million in revenue, down from $750 million to $800 million, for this year, it said in its second-quarter earnings report. MDA’s shares closed down about two per cent Friday. (The Logic)
Talking point: MDA also downsized its expected adjusted EBITDA to $120 million to $130 million, down from $140 million to $160 million. It attributed the revised outlook to delays in launching the Telesat Lightspeed program, as well as slower starts to some government programs, including Canadarm3. Telesat Lightspeed was scheduled to begin early this year, but after delays there’s uncertainty around its start date and MDA has removed it from its 2022 financial year outlook.
