Talking point: Hargreaves and Daniel Debow, former Shopify executive and Build Canada board chair, announced the news on stage at a Toronto Tech Week event Tuesday. The pair said Build Canada will move beyond publishing policy memos written mostly by tech founders to hosting in-person and online events and funding projects, in what Hargreaves described as a “nation-wide builder movement.” The organization is also open-sourcing work it’s done to track government promises and spending so others can replicate it and improve on it.
