Brian Holm, who represents more than 130 women in a sex trafficking case against a former Pornhub content partner, said New York federal judge Eric Komitee should remove himself from a case involving the pornography website because of his personal relationship with Aylo defence attorney Eric Corngold. (The Logic)
Talking point: “Your Honor indicated Mr. Corngold was your former colleague, former supervisor, mentor, friend, guest teacher at a law school class Your Honor teaches, and someone that Your Honor has lunch or dinner with on a regular basis,” reads Holm’s Dec. 4 petition to the court. Aylo is the Montreal-founded, Luxembourg-based company behind Pornhub, Brazzers and other popular pornography websites. Komitee was the judge appointed to oversee a deferred prosecution agreement to resolve a U.S. federal criminal investigation regarding Aylo’s relationship with sex-trafficking website GirlsDoPorn. Corngold didn’t respond to The Logic’s request for comment.
