New York federal judge Eric Komitee was appointed to oversee a deferred prosecution agreement to resolve a U.S. federal criminal investigation regarding Aylo’s relationship with sex-trafficking website GirlsDoPorn. He has “determined to recuse himself” from the case, according to a court filing. (The Logic)
Talking point: Last week, Brian Holm, who represents more than 130 women in a sex-trafficking case against GirlsDoPorn, asked Komitee to step away from the case because of the judge’s personal relationship with Aylo defence attorney Eric Corngold. Aylo is the Montreal-founded, Luxembourg-based company behind Pornhub, Brazzers and other popular pornography websites.
