Talking point: Rodgers joined Volta after stints at Waterloo-based incubator Velocity and the Creative Destruction Lab. Volta expanded during Rodgers’s tenure, currently housing 49 startups, and signed a deal with Microsoft for Startups Canada to help grow tech firms in Atlantic Canada. It also helped Halifax win Wattpad’s new second headquarters over Calgary. It’s unclear what precipitated this exit, though. In an interview with BetaKit, Casey would not say whether Rodgers’s departure was planned.
