Talking point: The four-year old, Toronto-based firm, which offers payroll, benefits and other human resources services, has worked with over 4,000 companies in Canada. Humi is focusing on Canadian growth. “Our vision has been to build something that’s very Canada-specific and very powerful for Canadian businesses as a result,” said co-CEO Simon Bourgeois. The remote-work shift is benefitting Humi, as more companies look to onboard and pay employees online. It’s seen an 80 per cent increase in demand since March and has hired five new staff, bringing its workforce to about 60 people.
