Toronto-based VitalHub, which makes software for health-care companies, will pay up to an additional $5 million in cash if Kingston, Ont.-based Novari meets certain performance requirements over the next two years. Talking point: VitalHub is on an acquisition tear, purchasing Toronto-based MedCurrent, transition-of-care software provider Strata Health and patient care software-maker Induction over the past year. In a release, VitalHub said it plans to sell Novari’s software, which helps health-care providers manage intake and wait lists, in new global markets, particularly the U.K. In 2022, the Ontario government hired Novari to build a centralized wait list to help clear the backlog of cancelled or postponed surgeries that built up during the COVID-19 pandemic.
