Talking point: Flora aims to fill a gap in the growing fertility services space, providing insurance policies for women who may require expensive treatments to fulfil their family planning goals. Globally, estimates suggest one in six people struggle with fertility, yet in vitro fertilization (IVF) can cost upwards of $10,000 per cycle, making it an expensive endeavour. Flora currently operates only in the U.S., and limits clients to women between 20 and 34 years old, charging a monthly fee and offering coverage for a range of fertility services, including IVF. The company plans to use the funds to grow its customer base and integrate its services into health-care settings, like OB/GYN offices, said spokesperson Kayla White in a statement. Flora previously raised $1.5 million in October 2024.
