Talking point: The bots could cut delivery expenses for businesses. FedEx said at least half of package delivery costs are from third-party companies delivering from stores to customers within a three-mile distance. And, restaurants are losing 10 to 30 per cent of every order on commissions to courier companies like Uber Eats and DoorDash.
