Talking point: In March, Meta announced plans to hire as many as 2,500 employees across Canada over the next five years as part of its Canadian engineering hub. Despite the hiring slowdown, Laventure said the company was “committed to our growth plans in Canada” and “will continue to grow our workforce to ensure we focus on long-term impact.”
