Talking point: CIBC is the second major Canadian bank to expand its abortion-related benefits for U.S. employees since last week’s Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade; Scotiabank announced its expansion Friday. RBC said it is still assessing the impact of the decision, and TD and BMO didn’t respond to The Logic’s requests for comment. On Tuesday, Lightspeed and Nuvei, two Montreal-based companies with employees in the U.S., also announced changes to their employee benefits in response to the court decision.
