Lighthouse Immersive—the Toronto-based firm behind an interactive show featuring Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo artworks to Disney animations—and its U.S. affiliate filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy in Delaware Thursday, which protects the company’s U.S. assets as they go through insolvency proceedings in Canada. Talking point: Court documents show the company has received financing from an undisclosed source to fund itself through the bankruptcy, Bloomberg reported. Founded as a subsidiary of president Corey Ross’s Starvox Entertainment and co-founder Svetlana Dvoretsky’s Show One Productions in 2019, Lighthouse is still listed as an active corporation in Ontario and there are no Canadian bankruptcy filings yet according to federal records. According to its website, the company claims to have sold over seven million tickets to 50,000 events in 21 cities across the U.S. and Canada. The company did not immediately respond to The Logic’s request for comment.
