PSG and ShieldCo acquired Traction on Demand’s spinoff company, a visitor-management system that includes vaccine-policy enforcement. (The Logic)
Talking point: The companies didn’t disclose financial details of the deal. Traction Guest, which now has about 100 staff, previously raised US$13 million in June 2019 in a Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and other private investors. ShieldCo, another company in the visitor-management space, has previously invested in Sign In App, an England-based visitor-management solution. Traction Guest’s CEO Keith Metcalfe will remain in the role, and join ShieldCo’s senior leadership team. Traction on Demand needs “the awareness to identify the fastest path to growth for our incubated companies,” said CEO Greg Malpass in a statement to The Logic. Traction also created Traction Complete, a tool for using Salesforce, and Traction Rec, a platform for community centres.
