Talking point: TikTok is facing growing pressure for its ties to China. India banned the app on June 30, while U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo said Monday that the U.S. was considering banning it. The company is trying to address the concerns. Executives from parent firm ByteDance are considering establishing TikTok’s headquarters outside of China, and the video app quickly exited Hong Kong after China passed a new national security law for the region.
