Talking point: Founded in 2018, Ahoy uses AI-enabled hardware and agents to help clients analyze and optimize their operations. Earlier this year, it announced reaching US$100 million in annual recurring revenue. It’s not the company’s first foray into Montreal, having acquired Montreal-based automation platform Wrk Technologies in May. Several Canadian companies are looking to sell physical AI as a way to speed up and reduce errors in advanced manufacturing. Ahoy CEO Jamil Shinawi praised Quebec’s “world-class talent attraction and education” in announcing the company’s new hub.
