Paul Wells is a journalist and author based in Ottawa. He has written for Maclean’s, the Toronto Star, the National Post and the Montreal Gazette, and is a frequent commentator on French- and English-language television and radio. His book The Longer I’m Prime Minister won the Shaughnessy Cohen Prize, the John W. Dafoe Book Prize and an Ottawa Book Award. He moderated the first national leaders’ debate of the 2015 election, the first election debate to be organized outside the traditional network consortium system.
