The AI-powered software predicts demand based on factors like time of day, weather and location to ensure machines are stocked, “guaranteeing food freshness, ensuring restocking efficiency to the tee,” co-founder and CEO Shriya Gupta told The Logic. The startup is also testing a mobile app, to be launched in the next few weeks. Gupta claimed food waste levels are less than four per cent, lower than the industry average of 15 to 20 per cent. The company has a multi-year contract with Metrolinx, southern Ontario’s regional transit agency, and is exploring expansion in California, she added.
